Coffee with the King

Last Sunday I had the rare opportunity to have coffee one on one with the King of motivational speakers none other than Mr. Francis Kong.

I have been interviewing numerous people from different fields, trying to understand how they became successful and their philosophies on success. Here is what the King had to say:

"Success in itself is an unworthy goal"

He kinda lost me there.

He went on to explain why that is, which truly changed my perspective.

"Success in itself is an unworthy goal. Success should be the by product of doing things consistently"

How true.

He then gave me two words of advice that will be useful to anyone who wants to be successful.

One: Build your name. Endure years of working with integrity mastering your talents and skills. In his words

"You know what God wants out of you, by what he puts in you."

Two: Seek God. Seek him for who He is, and that He may make you successful.

Give to others more than they expect from you. Don't deceive people, work in service and in the thought of giving, then everything else falls in to place.

Take it from a man who has done 12 years of speaking for churches and teachers for FREE, receiving is more rewarding after you first do the giving.
