5 WAYS TO ACE THAT SALES PRESENTATION

I’ve been in corporate sales for about 15 years working for different brands both in the financial and retail sectors before I finally decided to embark in training and consultancy.  I’ve seen ‘em all; from the uberly enthusiastic and sold on the first hello to the apathetic and “I’ll forget you were ever here” customers.  Being a customer myself I have had my share of seeing some really brilliant and informative presentations to those whom I’d rather find bliss in banging my head on the wall rather than sitting through the entire pitch!

I am in no way saying I’m a virtuoso either, but I can give you some advice for all of you groping in the dark to those who just need a little polish in acing that dreaded production.  I have compiled several tips grown from personal experience on the listening side of the pitch to that of years of experience in getting that elusive nod.

Signs Of The Times: HONESTY STORE IN ORTIGAS!

Well whaddya know? Just when you thought values today are being thrown out the window there's this little nook on the ground floor of the Philippine stock Exchange building in Ortigas that has an "HONESTY BOX" that encourages people to pay and get change freely.  All the snacks and candies are just sprawled openly but there haven't been losses so far.

Great job!  Hope to see more of people inspiring good values to everyone else.

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?

I don't have a car.  Yes I commute to and from work and clients everyday.  I understand the squeeze at the MRT's and chasing buses and jeeps.

I don't own a mansion.

I don't own designer clothing or any bling, the most that I own is my dream shoe my Jordan 6 retro which I got on sale.  Most expensive thing I own.

Most people (especially girls) salivate over the thought of their LV's or Hermeses, or that new pair of shiny rims or audio system or Apple gadget.  I don't have any of those though owning one wouldn't hurt either.

WHY THE HEAT LOST TODAY AND WHY THEY SHOULD WIN TOMORROW

What do Bill Wennington, Otis Thorpe and Cliff Levingston have in common? One, they are probably names that you have not heard of and two, all of them have championship rings.

For the record I am not a Dallas Mavericks fan. Never was. In fact I am a huge D-Wade fan; I bought and wore all of his shoes and even bought his jersey.  But during this finals series I was seriously rooting for the Mavs to win, and they did.

During the initial press conferences it was evident that the Miami Heat were the clear favorites going into the series and the Mavs were the eventual underdogs. The rest of course, is history.

Why did the Mavs win and the Heat lose? Greg Anthony former Knick summed it best; in a 7 game series the team that wins it in 6 and on the road is clearly the best team. Hey but wait! Don't the Heat have 3 of the best players in the league in King Lebron James, Chris "Invisible Man" Bosh and D-Flash Wade?

Answer: The Mavs have Brian Cardinal.

Cardiwho?!

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Please allow me to share with you a personal story.

A few years ago when I started SUCCESS COACH® I literally experienced what most people would call the proverbial “birth pains” in business.  Part of those pains was the need to establish yourself as a legitimate, credible service provider.  The first couple of months in the business was like hitting a concrete wall; very few leads and almost no nods.  Contracts were slow and few in between that I had to live off whatever savings I had left and even resorted to borrowing money from people just to get by.  There were even times that I had to skip lunch if ever I was on the road because I wouldn’t have enough money to get back home.  I honestly started to doubt if this was the path I truly wanted to take.

Things changed one August night.

Signs of the Times: Supermarkets

I love supermarkets.  This is where you can find almost anything and everything you need, and sometimes stuff that you don't.  Hopefully, you'll find some things that are just hilarious..

I don't think he's a sponge.  Maybe a corn kernel.

12 TIPS TOWARDS BECOMING AN EFFECTIVE TEAM PLAYER

The amazing TSA team
Just this week I was fortunate enough to be the speaker and facilitator of the team building program of one of the country’s top companies Terry S.A. They are the authorized distributors of leading brands such as David and Goliath, Dupe, Pininho and of course Havaianas.  All in all they were a great bunch of young individuals just having fun.
